Our Story

Tony's Hot Dust has proven itself for more than 20 years in our personal home kitchen. It has been sold by my father Tony as a homestead product seasonally to our friends and family, the wonderful people at the factory where he retired from, and to the members of his local church. 

There are no added flavor enhancers or preservatives like MSG. Natural salt sources are the only preservatives needed. Tony's Hot Dust is made in small batches and has a narrow flavor profile which provides a natural consistency throughout the blend. At first, the smell of Tony's Hot Dust has a 'living' quality, and has been likened to a musky, earthy scent. This is due to the Cumin and Turmeric. Over time the blend becomes more smoky, due the Capsicum found in the peppers. Dad and often jokes that Tony's Hot Dust doesn't need preservatives because it would get eaten up so quickly. However, if your bottle of Tony's Hot Dust makes it past the one year mark, you should find it a little discolored, and smoky through and through.
